ShumwayPhotography > A crescent moon sets just behind the sun, as the sky is filled with brilliant colors that also reflect from the alpine lakes. Photographed from the West Summit of the Beartooth Pass. Captured with a Canon 5DII 70-200/2.8L IS II in aperture priority mode with an exposure bias of 0 at ISO100, f/7.1, and 6/10ths of a second. The camera was mounted on a Gitzo 3540XLS tripod with Arca-Swiss Z1sp ball head, a cable release was used in LiveView (mirror lockup) mode.

ShumwayPhotography > Stars trail through the moonless night's sky over Lilly Lake, near the Northeast border of Yellowstone National Park. Captured with a Canon 5DII 17-40/4.0L in bulb mode at ISO100, f/5.6, and a 2h34m56s single exposure. The camera was mounted on a Gitzo 3540XLS tripod with Arca-Swiss Z1sp ball head, a intervalometer cable release was used to control the exposure.
